About Our Business
Tanners Lake Sport ‘N’ Center was founded in 1964 by Roy L. Klingsporn and today is still
family owned and operated. We offer sales, parts, and service to make your boating hassle
free. Tanners Lake sells a full line of new Crownline boats ranging from 18’ to 34’. This
includes open bows, deck boats, cuddies, and cruisers. Tanners Lake also offers a variety of
used boats. Their used boats are serviced and thoroughly checked out by their service shop
staff. When purchasing a boat from Tanners Lake, we provide on water demonstrations on all
new as well as used boats to ensure that the customer is completely satisfied with their boat
buying experience. Through the years, the staff at Tanners Lake have enjoyed the boat
business and have established a close relationship with many of our customers. Our claim is
not to be the biggest, but strive to be the best. This is evident, as we have received awards
from Crownline and MerCruiser for providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
Tanners Lake is located in Oakdale, just minutes East of downtown St. Paul on the intersection
of I-94 and Century Avenue. We are close to the beautiful St. Croix River and provide services
on the St. Croix as well as the Mississippi River.
